The Sacrament of Reconciliation / August 29 - September 5, 2026

When receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Confessional in our Church, you have the option of confessing your sins behind a screen or face-to-face.  If you wish to receive the sacrament face-to-face, simply slide open the curtain.  While it is preferred that you kneel, a chair is provided for those who are physically unable to kneel.

Saturday, August 29: Confessions from 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. 

Monday, August 31: Confessions from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m.

Tuesday, September 1: Confessions from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. 

Wednesday, September 2: Confessions from 5:30 - 6:10 p.m. 

Thursday, September 3: Confessions from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. 

Friday, September 4: Confessions from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. 

Saturday, September 5: Confessions from 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. 

In addition to the times listed above, you may call the parish office at 316-321-4796 to set an appointment with Fr. John for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.St. John the Evangelist, pray for us!

Become Part of the Flock with Flocknote at St. John the Evangelist Parish

Our Parish Has Joined FORMED!

As part of our St. John the Evangelist School of Discipleship, our parish has purchased a year subscription to "Formed."  What is that?  This is an online platform of a library of Bible studies, movies, sacramental preparation, audio talks, children's programming, documentaries.  Now, you can access a plethora of resources online that are accessible on your laptop, smartphone and other mobile devices.  Some people call this streaming service, "Catholic Netflix."  These resources promote living a Catholic lifestyle.  All you need to do is to subscribe.  There is absolutely no cost for you to subscribe to this service!  Follow the simple instructions below.  It takes two minutes to subscribe.

1.  Go to formed.org

2.  Click "Sign Up"

3.  Select "Sign Up as a Parishioner"

4.  Find St. John the Evangelist by parish name or enter our ZIP Code (67042)

5.  When prompted, enter your email address

That's it!  You have opened the door to a huge library of great Catholic resources to help you grow in your Catholic Faith!
