Altar Society

The St. John the Evangelist Parish Altar Society enhances worship by devoting time, talent and treasure to create an altar and sanctuary that praises the glory of God, and to promote friendship and fellowship among all women of the parish. The Altar Society supply vestments, flowers, communion bread and wine, candles, altar server albs and priests’ vestments for the altar during the year. We organize, provide and serve bereavement dinners to the families of deceased parishioners. We help other ministries when solicited. We do it for the praise and love of God with love for our Parish Church, our Pastor and fellow parishioners.

The ladies of the Altar Society meet from September through May on the third Thursday of each month. Our meeting time is 6:30pm in the School Conference Room. We have a business meeting and then usually a short program followed by social time. All ladies are welcome! Contact persons are Susan Rommelfanger or Susan Johnson.
